They are seeking a Technical Business Development Manager who combines technical expertise with commercial acumen to drive growth and innovation across their specialty chemical portfolio.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Support Strategic Account and Account Managers to achieve revenue and margin growth targets, as well as assigned account development goals.
- Provide technical and applications credibility during customer interactions to support the roadmap to revenue process and strategic account plans.
- Act as the technical bridge between the Lines of Business (LOBs)/Business Units (BUs) and the sales team.
- Gather and feedback customer insights to the LOB and BU teams from a technology perspective.
- Lead and execute robust product trial plans with customers, defining testing criteria and establishing success metrics.
- Serve as the first line of defense in customer crisis management situations related to technical issues or line down scenarios.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant industry experience.
- Strong analytical and statistical skills for problem-solving.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to multitask with a 'can-do' attitude.
- Proven project management and scheduling skills.
- Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot technical matters while exhibiting sound judgment.
- Outstanding customer relations skills, adaptable to varying customer needs.
- Effective management of transitions and ability to change focus quickly.
