Our client is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and meaningful financial insight to support the business.
This position combines hands‑on accounting responsibility with analytical and business‑partnering elements, offering real exposure to decision‑making and financial operations.
Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, the role is central to monthly close activities, forecasting, budgeting, and supporting tax and audit processes in an international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monthly Close & Reporting
- Prepare journal entries covering sales, margins, operating expenses, taxes, accruals, and prepayments
- Reconcile intercompany receivables and payables
- Prepare monthly cash‑flow statements and balance‑sheet reconciliations
- Deliver variance analysis against budget, forecast, and other scenarios to support management decisions
- Support statutory, governmental, and internal reporting requirements
Tax & Audit Support
- Assist with income tax calculations, filings, and financial accruals
- Prepare accurate documentation and information for external audits
Forecasting & Budgeting
- Collaborate with FP&A on operating expense forecasts and budgets
- Prepare cash‑flow and balance‑sheet forecasts
- Deliver ad‑hoc financial analysis (e.g. expenses, capital investments, taxes)
What We’re Looking For
- Commercial training with accounting qualification, or a degree in business administration
- Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) qualification
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Fluency in German and English
- Strong Excel skills (certification an advantage)
- Experience with modern ERP systems (Microsoft 365 preferred)
- Knowledge of tax and accounting regulations in Austria, the Netherlands, or Belgium is a plus
- Action‑oriented, collaborative, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
