We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Support Specialist to join our client's team in Austria. This role involves supporting their sales team by gathering critical market data, preparing customer presentation packs, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends. The ideal candidate will have experience in a sales or retail office environment and possess strong analytical and communication skills.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Visit grocery stores and QSRs to obtain samples and marketplace information, taking photographs of products in-store.
- Research the market using online platforms for comparative shopping data.
- Type up marketplace information in a timely, clear, correct, and concise manner.
- Set up customer presentation packs and use the customer tendering system for existing and new business.
- Stay updated with the company's product portfolio and specific local industry trends.
- Perform general administrative duties to support the Sales Team.
- Keep up to date with customer and competitor ranges.
- Liaise with the NPD (new product development) department to maintain awareness of product trends and identify opportunities to present new products or cross-sell and upsell products.
- Attend customer and supplier meetings, representing the company at industry events as necessary
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working in a sales or retail office environment.
- Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
- Thorough attention to detail and an organised, methodical approach to work.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
